Federer wins Olympic gold medal

Roger Federer and Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland defeated Simon Aspelin and Thomas Johansson of Sweden 6-3, 6-4, 6-7(4), 6-3 to claim the gold medal in the Men’s Doubles Tennis at the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games on August 16. Aspelin and Johansson took the silver medal in the Men’s Doubles event.
